A new Chase Offer popped up that offers a 10% statement credit for purchases made at Office Depot. But how can this convert to travel?
Office Depot Chase Offer Details
Cardholders who manually ennroll in the promotion may earn 10% back on all of their Office Depot purchases, until an $11.00 back maximum is reached. (That translates into $110 maximum in spending.) The offer expires on February 28, 2023.
Office Depot sells gift cards. I’ve seen Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines gift cards at my local Office Depot. Using the promotion this way can help you save a few bucks on a future air travel purchase.
Keep in mind airfare purchased with gift cards earn segments, points/miles, and spending toward elite status. Plus, they also earn redeemable points and miles.
I received the offer on only one card: my Chase Sapphire Reserve. Interestingly, that’s a personal credit card — and none of my business cards were targeted. My Chase Sapphire Reserve has been targeted for a bunch of Chase Offers recently — moreso than any of my other Chase cards.
Remember to Stack with Cashback Portals!
Make sure to add your eligible Chase card to cash back shopping portals such as DOSH and Payce. You might earn additional cashback on your Office Depot/OfficeMax purchases.
Payce awards members 5% cashback for in-store Office Depot/OfficeMax purchases and 1% for online transactions — but you must first add your eligible card and activiate all offers each month. Payce’s terms and conditions say that gift card purchases don’t earn cash back. But it can’t hurt to try. And if you shop online, start your shopping session from a cashback site such as Rakuten or TopCashback.
