There’s a potentially valuable Amex Offer out there that some food lovers might enjoy.
This also might be worth it even if you have a spare few minutes and want to earn some bonus just for the heck of it.
inKind Amex Offer
Restaurant app inKind and American Express dropped this promotion: earn a one-time $50 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to make a single purchase of $50 or more online at pass.inkind.com/amex-special. The offer expires February 28, 2023. Enrollment is required and terms apply.
inKind is an app through which you pay your tab at select restaurants. (There appear to be around 530 or so participating restaurants in the United States.) You can pre-purchase inKind credit (i.e., $110 for $100) and use that toward your bill. Any overages can be paid with the credit card you place on file in the inKind app.
So, taking advantage of this Amex Offer would essentially get you $50 in credit for free.
The closest restaurant to me is a vegetarian joint (not my style, but I’m sure my doctor would like me to try it). A few Katsuya locations are also listed. (Katsuya is great sushi restaurant.)
Worst Case Scenario: 50 Free Points or Miles?
Even if there’s no participating inKind restaurant near you, I don’t think it hurts to start an account and get the $50 credit for free.
You may find yourself near an inKind participant sometime during your travels.
No?
Well, then how about just earning 50 free Membership Rewards points, SkyMiles, Hilton Honors points, Bonvoy points, or 50 cents in Rewards Dollars (whichever rewards currency applies to the card to which you add the offer)?
The whole process took me maybe two minutes. Only you will know whether or not it’s worth your time. (And if it’s not, I’m sure you’ll tell me in the Comments section below 😉 ).
Get $25 Free
You can earn $25 free when you spend $50 or more at any participating restaurant and pay your bill using the inKind app. Just use our referral link to sign up for an account. (Thank you!) So, if my math is correct, that’s basically a $75 meal for free. (As far as I can tell, we don’t receive our $25 until you actually spend yours.)
Someone who used my referral link provided this screenshot. It reflects their $50 Amex Offer credit plus $25 referral bonus totaling $75.
Have you used inKind? What do you think? Please share in the Comments section below.
