Delta’s SkyBonus loyalty program for business travel will not roll over expiring points to 2023.

This isn’t like the past two years when Delta waived expiration dates on everyone’s SkyBonus points because of the COVID pandemic’s affect on travel.

(Numbers edited to provide an example)

The SkyBonus program’s changes this spring certainly didn’t please everyone. But at least get something for your points about to expire. I cashed some in earlier this year and have some travel credits (which expire at the end of next year) to burn.

But I get the impression people kind of forget about their SkyBonus points (or the program all together). So, before you miss out on your chance to redeem your points for something, go to the SkyBonus site now and order yourself some rewards!

    Thanks for the reminder Chris!

To Delta’s credit they’ve sent the administrator’s for SkyBonus companies multiple emails reminding them about upcoming YE expirations. I logged in and had ~200,000 expiring at YE. I was able to get SkyClub passes that I gave out to employees for holiday travel. Not an amazing amount of value out of the program, but it’s a little something extra.

I haven’t seen any emails. Maybe Gmail decided to funnel them into one of their cutesy folders or something.

      Great gift for your employees!!

Clarification about the Delta SkyBonus program: Is the $5k airfare requirement the amount of spending with Delta as opposed to the company’s airfare budget as a whole? If yes, AA instituted a similar spending requirement for Business Extra. Thanks in advance.

$5,000 cumulative across eligible SkyTeam airline purchases (i.e., Delta, AeroMexico, etc.)
