If you hold card_name and/or card_name, now is a fantastic opportunity to use some of your biannual statement credits!
Rakuten is running a big Black Friday promotion awarding 15% cashback (or 15X American Express® Membership Rewards®) at Saks Fifth Avenue and Dell!
Plus, new members can earn $40 bonus cashback when signing up for Rakuten via a referral link.

Amex Platinum Card: Saks Fifth Avenue
card_name members can earn up to $50 in statement credit from July through December at Saks Fifth Avenue. (Cardholders must manually activate the perk via their Amex account. Terms apply.)
You can earn 15% cashback when you start your online shopping session through Rakuten. That should stack with your Amex statement credit perk and any other available Saks Amex Offers you added to the card. It’s entirely possible to make money purchasing merchandise from Saks. Not sure what to buy at Saks? Here are some ideas to get you started. There are also some great suggestions in that post’s Comments section!
Amex Business Platinum Card: Dell
Meanwhile, card_name cardholders enjoy a similar benefit for eligible Dell purchases.
Cardholders may earn up to $400 in statement credit each year for eligible purchases made through Dell. This is divvied into two six-month periods: $200 in statement credit from January through June; then $200 from July through December. These opportunities are if-used and do not roll over.
Enrollment is required. Terms apply.
Rakuten is offering 15% cashback on Dell purchases right now as part of the Black Friday promotion.
Keep in mind Dell sells more than just computers. Need to buy new gaming accessories for yourself or someone else? Bingo. Want to upgrade your wireless earbuds? There you go.
Not a Rakuten Member? Earn an Additional $40 Very Quickly
Rakuten is running a great, limited-time promotion: earn $40 cashback after spending $40 within 90 days of signing up. (You can also choose to receive the $40 as 4,000 Amex Membership Rewards points). But the offer is valid only through referral links. (We’re happy to refer to you. Thank you!)
So if you don’t yet have a Rakuten membership, sign up now for free. And if you haven’t used your Saks and/or Dell credits, consider buying something today (again, start your shopping session through Rakuten). Spend your statement credit benefit. You’ll earn the $40 promotional cashback and 15% of your purchase price at Saks and/or Dell.
Better Rakuten Promotions Coming?
I don’t remember ever seeing anything better than 15% cashback for Saks or Dell. So, I’d strike while the iron is hot.
Happy Thanksgiving! (Or if you don’t celebrate, I wish you a wonderful last Thursday of November.)

Just used my Dell credit (thanks René for the Tile idea)–and Rakuten 15% for Black Friday–Tiles and 27″ Monitor–and will cost me less than $50–and get my Rakuten cash back
Thanks to you guys for all the wonderful tips and keeping us up to date!!
Saks has a spend $150 and earn a $75 gift card deal on many items right now. If my math is correct, spend $150, get $50 back from Amex, $22.50 cashback from Rakuten, and earn the $75 gift card. You’ll wind up with $225 worth of stuff (obviously in 2 transactions and you’ll likely not hit it exactly on the dot but you get the idea) for $77.50.
If the gift card comes immediately and you use it during the 15% cashback, you’d earn another $11.25 from Rakuten.
