Delta Air Lines and Starbucks partnered up to offer SkyMiles and Stars to members of both loyalty programs.
The news broke earlier Wednesday but the promotion’s registration site apparently couldn’t keep up with all the traffic.
It seems that problem is now fixed.
Delta – Starbucks Promotion
Here’s how the promotion breaks down:
- SkyMiles members who link to their Starbucks account earn one SkyMile per eligible dollar spent at Starbucks. (Taxes and gratuities are excluded.)
- Remember to earn points/miles earned on a rewards credit card.
- Keep an eye out for Amex Offers and Chase Offers that give you statement credits for reloading your Starbucks account.
- On days they travel on Delta Air Lines and make a Starbucks purchase, registered members earn Double Stars at ‘bucks. (We stop by our neighborhood Starbucks before driving to LAX before early morning flights.
(This reminds me of the Delta and Lyft partnership.)
Can you imagine how excited interns, assistants, and other people who get sent on coffee runs must be? Holy quad espresso macchiato, Batman.
Registering is fairly easy.
Visit either DeltaStarbucks.com or StarbucksDelta.com.
You’ll be asked for your name and SkyMiles number:
Once you’ve correctly submitted your SkyMiles credentials, your account should be validated.
You’ll then be taken to Starbucks to complete the process.
Final Approach
Delta and Starbucks teamed up to reward each other’s loyalty program members. Registration is quick and easy. And people who enjoy Starbucks can net a few extra SkyMiles.
