Want to swing through three Delta hubs during the course of about 24 hours? Check out this Los Angeles to Dallas mileage run.
It’s a Main Cabin run that Delta says will earn 5,643 MQM, $166 MQD, and 830 base SkyMiles.
The trip departs LAX at 12:40 AM on an Airbus 350-900. Keep in mind these planes have Delta One suites. Plus, its Premium Select selects are considered Comfort+. So Medallions can have some fairly comfortable upgrade possibilities for that redeye.
Your first stop is Atlanta. Your layover is almost four hours — plenty of time to Sky Club hop (assuming you have a membership or one of these American Express cards). From there, you head to DFW. You have about three hours in Dallas — which might be enough time for a quick run to Hard Eight BBQ. Otherwise, remember there’s a rather spacious American Express Centurion Lounge in the D concourse.
You’ll hit Detroit (DTW) for a couple of hours and then return to LAX just past midnight. If you enjoy flying, airports, and can stomach Main Cabin, this might be a run you’ll enjoy.
I found only three dates available:
- February 8
- February 9
- March 1
