Need some Delta MQM — and Thanksgiving plans? You’re in luck!
We tracked down a Delta first/business class mileage run from Boston (BOS) to Kona, Hawaii (KOA). Delta says it’ll yield 27,394 MQM and $2,241 MQD (plus a base of 6,915 redeemable SkyMiles — before any Medallion® bonuses).
The trip departs early Thanksgiving morning. You stop in Salt Lake City (SLC) then Los Angeles (LAX) before flying to the Big Island.

Your Kona layover is under two hours — which is nice because there’s nothing to do at that airport. (Although the restaurant’s french fries are pretty good.)
Then you hop a 9:21 PM flight to Seattle. From there, you head to Minneapolis-St. Paul. Then you’re back in Boston just after 4:30 PM on Friday afternoon.
This is a lot of flying and stopping. But at least it’s not in coach.
There are Delta Sky Clubs at each stop (except Kona). Hopefully, you have one of these American Express cards that gets you complimentary admission to the lounges!
“But I Can’t Go on Thanksgiving! I Already Have Plans!”
Yeah, that’s sort of the bummer on this one.
The crew at Juicy Miles can create a mileage run tailored to your schedule, budget, and other preferences. A bunch of our readers kept them busy during the past couple of months — so get your request in now.
