Live on the East Coast but want to grab dinner in Hawaii? How about during a trip involving two flights in a lie-flat bed?
Then say “aloha” to this Delta first class mileage run from New York’s JFK to Kona (KOA) and back.
Both flights between JFK and SLC are currently scheduled aboard 767-400s. Those have Delta Suites (though not actual Delta One service on that route). So you’ll be able to rest fairly comfortably.
Delta is awarding 75% MQD, MQS, and MQM bonuses on premium cabin tickets flown through the rest of 2021. So this trip is projected to earn you 26,694 MQM and $2553 MQD. Depending on your MQD totals before the trip starts, this lone mileage run might kick you up an entire Delta Medallion status level!

Plus, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the new Delta Sky Club in Salt Lake City. So if you don’t have a credit card that gets you access to Delta lounges, you might want to take advantage of the current Delta Amex welcome offers.

What about the Covid testing and quarantine requirements in Hawaii?? could make it difficult as I do not think it has been removed!!
Test negative within 72 hours of departing LAX for KOA.
you can test right at LAX
If you’re fully vaccinated, that’s not even a concern.
That is a ton of “upright” flying.
