Aloha! Here’s a pretty nice Delta mileage run for those not chasing MQD this year. (Maybe you’re cool with the Delta Amex Platinum MQD waiver — and/or plan to roll over a ton of MQM into 2022.)
But seats are limited — so jump on it now if you’re interested.
It’s an overnight, turn-and-burn run in Delta “Z” First Class (so, y’know, domestic business class). The run travels LAX-SEA-LIH-SEA-LIH. You ride 737s between LAX and SEA; then 757s between the Emerald City and Kauai.
Delta says it’ll earn 10,966 MQM and $940 MQD. But because the airline is awarding 75% bonuses on premium cabin tickets flown this year, those figures bump up to ~19,190 MQM and $1645 MQD.
There are a couple of different departure times from and arrival times back to LAX available. So that’ll determine your price. But right now, they’re currently $992-$1000.
But here’s where it potentially gets even sweeter.
Remember that SkyMiles award tickets earn MQM and MQD this year. Some award prices are available for just 84,000 SkyMiles plus $5.60. That’s a fantastic deal, IMHO.
As of this post, we see just five dates available at those prices:
- August 17
- August 18
- August 24
- August 25
- August 31
