Walt Disney World Resorts is offering two days’ worth of free tickets to Disney World! But there’s a catch:
You must purchase a four-night/three-day room and ticket package at select Disney Resort hotels. Oh, you have to pay full price for the packages. Grreaaat.
Walt Disney World Resort Public Relations Managing Editor Jeremy Schoolfield made the announcement yesterday on the Disney Parks Blog.
Just based on some quick searches I made, four-night room and park ticket packages range in price from low- to mid-four figures for two adults (depending on which property you select).
The promotion opens for booking on January 5, 2021. Arrival dates must occur between January 8 and September 25, 2021. You can read more about the promotion here.
Final Approach
I guess if you really want to do a big Disney World trip and explore multiple parks — while staying at one of their resorts — this is a decent opportunity. I’ve stayed at both Disneyland and Disney World resort properties while visiting the parks. It’s truly a convenient luxury — but you generally pay a pretty penny for it.

This is a pretty terrible promotion. Undercover Tourist, an authorized WDW ticket seller, has been selling 4Day tickets w/ “2 free days” for years. Their pricing between regular 4 day tickets & 4 day tickets w/ 2 free days is currently $470 vs $495 (before tax). These Undercover Tourist tickets work exactly like tickets purchased directly through Disney and can be added to MDE.
People will come out WAY ahead to buy these tickets separately and then book a room only reservation using a discount.
Not to mention these are the LAST 2 days free, not the first 2 days. After the first few very high cost days of admission, the incremental cost of additional days is quite small. So these 2 extra days may be worth only $30 or $40 anyhow. And as @Shaun mentions, you shouldn’t be paying full price for tickets anyhow.
