A Southwest Airlines passenger claims her outfit caused her to be denied boarding — before she used a captain’s t-shirt to cover up.
But was her clothing actually offensive?

Kayla Eubanks was apparently denied boarding at New York’s LaGuardia Airport because her rather revealing outfit was deemed “lewd, obscene and offensive.”

A man claiming to be the flight’s captain deplanes and approaches Ms. Eubanks. He says, “They’re hating on you because you’re lookin’ good.”
Oh boy.

In the end, Ms. Eubanks apparently donned one of the captain’s t-shirts and boarded the flight.
Look, that outfit seems designed to get attention. But not all attention is positive.
I personally don’t know anyone who’d wear that top on a flight (at least, not that I think). But I’ve seen far more revealing swimwear at family-friendly resorts. And those sunbathers are allowed to stay poolside.
Does it push the boundaries? Maybe. But her clothing didn’t seem to have any expletives, racist statements, or other inciting graphics.

Personally, I think her attire was OK in these days of half-empty flights. On a full flight, wouldn’t want her in the middle seat drooping on me.
It is important for gate agents to defuse potential conflicts, because flights have no LEOs and no dedicated space for problem passengers. I’d want the agents to be aggressive in preventing problems rather than missing a case and endangering the flight. Glad cooler heads prevailed in the end.

Let’s worry about more important things on life, not someone’s boobs, she is wearing a mask which is the most important thing right now. People have nothing better to do or say. That’s why the world we live in is the way it is.
I think that if the person is legally dressed and has no offensive statements or words then it’s no one’s business. You have a neck which facilities the movement of you head and that head which moves around has eyes which also move and they close too. So if you don’t like what you’re looking at then use your muscles and DONT LOOK.
Absolutely ridiculous that Southwest would give her trouble over this. I admit I find all the “drooping” a little repulsive but that’s my business and no one’s forcing me to look at that. Get on naked for all I care. As long as you’re not obese and spilling into my seat we won’t have any problems.
Fashion is a screwy thing, one persons perfection or elegance is another person’s offensive or inappropriate. IMO the gate agent(s) were out of line in denying the woman boarding. Compared to what is worn mainstream today that top is plenty acceptable.
Is this another example of emboldened airline employees overreaching? The vast majority are hard working professionals but I have certainly observed and experienced the small percentage who go too far.
SWA owes this woman at least a public apology.

Yes, I looked her up and she is a blogger with over 5,000 followers. Attention seeking behavior and she got it. She claimed she missed her flight, but she got on it and flew for free. SMH
