We found a Delta elite mileage run next April from Philadelphia to Tokyo that scores you over 15,600 MQM!
It’s currently pricing at $735.95 and travels PHL-ATL-HND, with an overnight in Tokyo. The return takes you HND-LAX-ATL-PHL. (I also spotted some trips through MSP or DTW and then PDX).
Tuesday departures and Thursday returns seem to have the best options available right now.
It’s a lot of flying (almost 20 hours — each way) with about 25 hours total in Tokyo. That’s plenty of time to grab some sushi, shabu-shabu, maybe catch the Robot Dinner Show (that’ll wake you up) and get a good night’s sleep.
- Cost: $735.95 in Main Cabin
- Dates: Spring 2021
- Route: PHL-ATL-HND. Overnight in Tokyo. HND-LAX-ATL-PHL.
- MQM: 15,647 (4.7 CPM)
- MQD: $656
- Base SkyMiles: 3,280
Keep in mind Delta is waiving change fees on tickets purchased through August 31, 2020.

Oh Chris nice to see EMRs from your alert post !
So it’s refundable if purchased by 8-31-20? Without any
Penalty up until when pLz ?
Hmmm
You have up to a year from the purchase date, though fare differences apply.
I mean, thanks for saying this. But why would anyone even consider this? You fly in coach across the pacific for over $700 to qualify for a status that gets you better upgrades to A321 domestic recliner seats… Unless it’s end of the year and I am 15k miles short of making Diamond, there is no way any sane person would ever consider flying this.
I’ve never claimed to be sane 😉
How about finding us some MQD runs Chris? I’d be interested in some good deals on long-haul partner flights in J for 2021. I’m never short on MQMs, and this year I should be rolling over around 300k MQMs.
Some international travel may be dicey (airline bankruptcies, quarantines, restrictions, etc) for a while, so I’m putting those on the backburner for a bit. But Adam and Miles over at Juicy Miles never cease to amaze me with what they find, so give them a shout.
