I recently activated and used my Chase Sapphire Reserve® DoorDash benefits. (Our stove was broken and we needed some pasta for our Italian night. DoorDash to the rescue!)
In case you forgot about this perk — or need some handholding and explaining — here’s how it works!
What is DashPass?
DashPass is DoorDash’s subscription service that waives delivery fees on orders from eligible restaurants. Service fees are also reduced for members. A minimum order of $12 applies in most areas. DashPass is available only in certain areas in the United States and Canada.
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and Chase Sapphire Reserve® holders get complimentary access to DashPass for a minimum of one year when they activate the perk by December 31, 2027.
How to Activate the Chase Sapphire Reserve® DoorDash Benefits
It’s simple and takes only a few minutes. So when you’re ready, here’s how to get your Sapphire card’s DoorDash benefits going!
1. Get a DoorDash Account
If you haven’t yet signed up for DoorDash, please consider using our referral link (thank you!) and receive $5 off each of your first order over $25.
2. Add Your Chase Sapphire to Your DoorDash Account
Open your DoorDash account and select “Payment.”
Then choose “Credit/Debit Card.”
From there, you can either manually enter your Chase Sapphire card’s information or use the device’s camera to scan it. (The scan function worked just fine for me. Or should I say Seamless-ly? 😉 )
Press “Save” in the upper right-hand corner.
2. Activate Your DoorDash Benefits
Once your CSR’s information is stored, you’ll see something like this:
Click “Get Started.” Then you’re taken to a similar page. Here’s where you pull the trigger.
Select “Activate DashPass.” You’ll receive confirmation your subscription is active.
Whenever you want to see which restaurants are DashPass-eligible, log into your DoorDash account and choose “DashPass.”
Bon appetit — and enjoy your savings!
