Los Angeles Lakers basketball player Rajon Rondo appears rather unhappy with his NBA-supplied accommodations at a Disney World resort.
The 34-year-old journeyman reportedly posted to social media a picture of his hotel room at Disney’s Gran Destino — and compared his digs to a Motel 6.
He even included a middle finger. Classy.

While not a suite, the room does appear pretty darn nice. I’ve certainly stayed in worse. Much, much worse.
The NBA has relocated to Orlando for the resumption of its 2019-2020 season. The league will play at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and players are housed at various Disney hotels. The idea is to create a virtual bubble and isolate players from non-NBA personnel.
Hotels have been busy at work, bringing in extra-long beds to accommodate players. They’re also converting conference facilities into practice spaces.
“The accommodations are certainly much more modest than a standard NBA player’s home, which could be problematic for some, considering that the NBA Finals will extend into October,” notes Lakers Daily’s Brad Sullivan. “However, Rondo’s social media statement runs the risk of making him seem out of touch with the current crisis, with the virus already claiming the lives of over 130,000 Americans.”
Maybe he’ll get a free breakfast or something.

Fame and fortune obviously doesn’t gain you class.
He makes $2.5 million a year. I doubt if remembers what a Motel 6 looks like.
nothing to quip about, just a normal day of life its your choice.
In fairness, Disney Hotel rooms tend to be unappealing aesthetically. Even the 5 star ones. It’s 2020. There’s no excuse for the design of these rooms.
Seems like Motel6 should be flattered!
And I suppose this means that Rondo has stayed in a Motel6…
