The Thunderbirds announced today their Operation America Strong tour will visit Los Angeles and San Diego this Friday, May 15!
Exact routes will be announced on Thursday.
According to the Thunderbirds, the SoCal flyovers will start at noon in San Diego. They’ll buzz America’s Finest City for 15 minutes before heading up the Coast to Los Angeles.
The Thunderbirds’ LA flyover will officially start at 1:10 PM and last about a half-hour.
“Residents in these areas will be able to see the flyover from the safety of their home- quarantine and should maintain all social distancing guidelines during this event,” the Thunderbirds said. “They should also refrain from traveling to landmarks, hospitals and gathering in large groups to view the flyover.”
My family lives near a hospital. My three-year-old daughter loves planes, so we’re excited about Friday afternoon’s salute.
Thanks to the Thunderbirds and, most importantly, our first responders and essential workers!
— Chris

Thx for the heads up! I will be on the lookout!
I always follow your post Chris, but I can’t always send in my comments because busy working.
Keep up the good work!
I’ve been waiting for this and I so hope they fly over my hospital (and that I’m able to be outside)!
