Want to ride with or drive for Lyft? You must personally attest to five criteria before getting anywhere near one of their cars.
The rideshare company announced a “Personal Health Certification,” a self-certification oath that whoever wants to use the service “will wear face masks throughout the ride, [is] symptom-free, and will follow CDC and local guidelines related to COVID-19.”

They will wear a face mask or covering

They will not ride or drive with Lyft if they have COVID-19, think they have it, or have related symptoms

They will keep vehicles clean and sanitize their hands frequently

They will leave windows open when possible and avoid recirculated air when possible

Passengers will not ride in the front seat
People who don’t consent to the certification won’t be able to ride or drive with Lyft.
Lyft added they’ve “dedicated nearly $2.5 million to purchasing hundreds of thousands of bottles of hand sanitizer, masks, and disinfectants for drivers at no cost to them.”

Those refusing to wear masks pretty much don’t have any other options when it comes to major ridesharing companies. Uber announced earlier this week that they, too, require divers and riders to wear masks during rides.
