Many of us have streaming subscriptions we enjoy on the road, thanks to downloads and free WiFi. But now people are filling their days by binge-watching TV series and movies on streaming services. (Tiger King on Netflix = amazing.)
But I recently discovered I was paying for too many subscriptions.
So I took advantage of a great bundle available for three excellent services. Plus, sports subscriptions are fairly pointless right now.
Plus, several credit cards offer cashback when you use their products to charge select streaming subscriptions.
Check out these tips and see if they save you any money.
Bundle Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+
I subscribed to Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ — all separately. That ran me about $17 a month.
But then I found this great offer, which bundles all three for $12.99. So if you currently subscribe to two of them, go for the bundle and get an extra service for essentially the same price.
Sports Streaming Subscriptions
Watching America’s favorite pastime is one of my favorite pastimes, too! I love baseball. So I have an MLB.TV subscription. I can stream baseball pretty much anywhere — in my living room, a hotel room, an airport lounge, etc.
It costs $119 a year and is billed in February — just before spring training games start.
But here’s the problem: there’s no baseball — or any sports — being played right now. Major League Baseball hasn’t canceled their season, nor have they made any announcements about an amended schedule.
While lamenting that there are no games to watch, I realized I paid for a service I’m not able to use. I called MLB.TV — and they issued a refund for my 2020 subscription.
So if you subscribe to sports streaming services, consider getting in touch with them. You might be able to make back some — or all — of your money.

There’s also not a lot to watch on ESPN+ either I’d sadly say. The best deal lately has been the Starz deal 6 months for $19.95. I think that expired but they now have 3 months for $5 which is really hard to beat for Starz and Starz on demand.
@DaninMCI: Good tip on Starz. One thing ESPN+ has going for it right now is the access to 30 FOR 30. The Ric Flair episode was pretty great.
