Delta Vacations announced a nice, early holiday gift for SkyMiles members: an increase in SkyMile value when redeeming them for eligible Delta Vacations packages.Plus, they also added an opportunity to enjoy an additional savings of up to $350 with promo code SMCHOICEA or earing 35,000 bonus SkyMiles with promo code SMCHOICEB!
(View the sale’s page here.)
SkyMiles can normally be redeemed through Delta Vacations at a rate of one cent per mile. (i.e. 50,000 SkyMiles = $500 value). But through December 14, miles are valued 20% higher and worth 1.2 cents each. (i.e. 50,000 SkyMiles = $600 value).
A minimum two-night stay is required at a participating Delta Vacations property.
This isn’t as sweet as the promotion we saw during August. But a 20% increase in value is certainly better than nothing.
The special is part one of Delta’s “Days of Deals” promotion running this week. It’s reminiscent of the “Dream It Live It Event” the airline ran a few months ago. We saw Delta gift card specials, discounted fares to Europe, and SkyMiles experiences (yay). I’ll be curious to see what Delta announces later today!
