Check out this November 8-10 weekend mileage run from Philadelphia to Tokyo — with a couple of different return options!
First of all, this run arrives at Tokyo Narita (NRT) on Saturday, November 9 — and returns from Tokyo Haneda (HND) on Sunday, November 10. So you’ll have some time to enjoy the city before going to bed that night.
For the return, you leave Sunday night at 7:20 PM and arrive in Minneapolis at 3:18 PM the same day.
Here’s where you have a couple of different options.
You can either:
- Hang out in Minneapolis for five hours or
- For about five bucks more (as of right now), hop a flight to Detroit and pick up a few more MQM. This will get you back to PHL only 20 minutes later than hanging out in MSP.
This is a Main Cabin run.
Here are the specifics:
Option 1:
Route: PHL-ATL-NRT. Overnight in Tokyo. HND-MSP-PHL
Cost: $639.73
MQM: 14,477
MQD: $528
Option 2:
Route: PHL-ATL-NRT. Overnight in Tokyo. HND-MSP-DTW-PHL.
Cost: $644.23
MQM: 14,525
MQD: $528

Me likey. Thanks for posting.
@HuntingtonGuy: My pleasure! I was glad to find a decent MQM run. Especially to such a great city one can enjoy during a night.
I live in Minneapolis. What would happen if I didn’t get back on the plane in Minneapolis?
@Mark – I assume you are talking about on the way back? With that in mind: 1) You will not get any credit for the legs not flown. 2) If you do this too much Delta will not like it i.e. bad things can happen to your FF account. 3) If there is an IROP you may get routed to the end point and have no say in the matter. Bottom line – if you do this – know the risks.
