Delta Air Lines flight 122 from Boston to Edinburgh, Scotland diverted to Portland Jetport in Portland, Maine, for an emergency landing.
WMTW news writes that the crew reported engine problems Saturday night and landed at PMW. (Better to find out while close to land than, you know, over the Atlantic.)
“Officials say the aircraft landed safely and no one was hurt,” MTW says.
FlightAware data indicates the 757-200 departed Logan at 10:10 PM and arrived 59 minutes later.
Sebastian White tweeted that DL9970 was apparently scheduled to ferry everyone to JFK.
Not sure. They were working on the starboard engine when I departed for LGA this morning.

As of 3:15 PM Pacific, that plane is not yet airborne.
Mr. White that the plane’s right engine was being worked on this morning.
Spending the next 6 hours in the Portland, Maine airport because of a plane malfunction with @Delta . Did I mention that there are no hotel vouchers or food vouchers being given? Great way to start our trip 😡.

Meanwhile, Portland passengers on other Delta flights were affected, too, by DL122.
Not sure. They were working on the starboard engine when I departed for LGA this morning.

This is the second issue Delta has had with a 757 this weekend.
