With Delta soon departing Tokyo Narita (and laying off some staff), I figured now is the perfect time to review Haneda Airport‘s TIAT Lounge Annex!
Admission to the TIAT Lounge Annex for Delta Passengers
Delta does not have a Sky Club at Haneda. When I was there a few months ago, though, a Delta rep crossed her fingers and said, “Hopefully next year, maybe!”
In the meantime, Delta contracts out to the TIAT Lounge Annex. Delta One customers were the mothership’s only passengers given access to the club.
But I’ve heard conflicting reports. Some say SkyTeam Elite Plus passengers are allowed when flying any international itinerary. Others insist SkyTeam Elite Plus passengers are admitted — except when flying Delta. Still, others had the same experience as I: only Delta One customers are allowed.
Sadly, no American travel credit cards score entry.
We flew Delta One roundtrip from LAX (thanks to my Diamond Medallion GUCs). Upon check-in at the Delta counter, we were given vouchers to present the TIAT Lounge Annex attendant.
Finding the TIAT Lounge Annex
You’ll find the lounge’s concourse entry before a moving walkway that ends between gates 145 and 146.

Enter those doors and take the escalator or elevator to floor 5F.
Inside the TIAT Lounge Annex
It was sitting-room-only the day we visited ;-).
We had no problem finding outlets — and used our UPWADE travel surge suppressor – power strip worked great!
There’s also a long bar with power outlets. Note that cell phone conversations are prohibited in the seating areas (hallelujah!).
If you need to voice or video chat, you can use one of the cell phone “booths.”
There’s also a dedicated business area with stalls and computers.
The lounge’s huge windows allow some pretty great plane spotting on the apron and taxiways!
There are plenty of magazines and newspapers in a variety of languages.
The TIAT Lounge Annex’s food is fine. Nothing amazing.
There are sushi rolls.
We had some Yakatori-style chicken and other snacks. They offer rice alongside a couple of different soups.
There’s also a Jell-o style snack and some croissants.
Alcohol-wise, the TIAT Lounge Annex has a self-serve bar. Wine, saké, vodka, gin, and other beverages are available.
But the star is the Asahi beer — thanks to this pouring machine.
The beer was fantastic — perfect temperature and taste.
Final Thoughts — and a Recommendation for Delta
The TIAT Lounge Annex was decent — certainly better than waiting in the gate areas. But nothing very special.
Delta must open a Sky Club at Haneda — one open to Delta Amex cardholders, SkyTeam Elites on international itineraries, and those with Sky Club memberships. — Chris

I think I’ve been to most of the lounges at HND and this is the worst one in terms of food items. The view is pretty good as it’s directly exposed to the apron. Compare to JAL’s and ANA’s, it is quite weak. Given the space constraints at HND, it’s unlikely DL be able to build its own lounge. I hope they improve the food offering there…
It looks pretty awful like many us “lounges”. Hopefully, they will improve the food and décor vastly.
