We found another Delta mileage run to London!
With a hat-tip to reader George, I crunched some dates and flights. I found a BASIC E weekend run leaving New York JFK on Friday afternoon and changing planes in Boston. Arrive in London at 7:30 AM. Delta metal all the way there (currently an A319 and A330-200). You’ll have the whole day to sightsee, sleep, whatever you want.
The return leaves Heathrow at 6:30 AM on Sunday morning aboard a KLM 737-800. You have less than two hours in Amsterdam before hopping a Delta flight back to the Big Apple. You arrive at 1:15 PM Sunday.
Here’s how the numbers price out:
Total Price: $348.63
MQM: 7909
CPM: 4.4
Dates Available: Nov 8-10 and Nov 15-17
Remember this is a Basic Economy fare. You won’t be assigned a seat until after check-in. (If you’d rather go Main Cabin, the total becomes $577.63. 7.3 CPM)
Bookable on Delta.com — but make sure to sort by “Price.” Otherwise, you may spend forever trying to find this routing.
In the meantime, consider our friend Adam for help constructing a personalized mileage run that suits your needs and convenience! — Chris

I don’t understand why you would want Basic Economy when you’re chatting status that gives privileges you can’t get with this class! Why not fly main which is probably also a good deal?
@Barry Graham: I know some people who stomach Basic E to save money. (Can’t say I’m one of them 🙂 ) There may be some masochists with the “No pain, no gain” mentality.
The Main Cabin price was $577.63 (7.3 CPM). Nothing spectacular and above many people’s CPM limit.
Thanks, and I meant to say “chasing” not “chatting”.
