An American Airlines passenger lost his mind — and some clothes — during a flight delay last week.
The incident took place at what appears to be the Charlotte airport. (Someone please let me know if that is incorrect.)
Kerrie Carter posted on Facebook, “Waiting to board an already delayed flight and this happened.”
WARNING: VIDEO NOT SAFE FOR WORK
Security! Security! Uh…Security?
You’ll notice law enforcement or other security don’t appear until around the video’s 3:19 mark.
Which begs the question: Where exactly was security while this guy threw his tirade? The passenger’s tantrum seemed well underway before Ms. Carter began video recording the incident. And it took onsite personnel over three minutes to respond to someone who:
- used a stanchion as a weapon
- banged on the jet bridge’s door
- started disrobing
(My Spanish isn’t very good but I’ll take a wild guess and assume he also threatened AA staff.)
One or maybe two minutes seems reasonable for someone to respond. But more than three? No.
At least he didn’t take it where I thought he would.
