This is an over 30 minute interview with the current Delta CEO, Ed Bastian but well worth a listen. There is a lot I really like about what he has done with Delta, but also a lot with SkyMiles and the Medallion program I do not.
Interesting right? I will have a longer post up later today on the blog but wanted to share this first thing today. What did you think of what Ed said? – René

The language in the video is inappropriate, at least two curse words. I am glad that I am not watching this with my children in the room. Ed, however, spoke extremely well.
I appreciate the job Mr Bastion is doing overall. Very dependable airline. However two things jumped out at me in that interview – Mr Bastion really skipped past the recognition of best travelers – like upgrades and 1000 points to upgrade. (What flights upgrade for 1000 points running from gate to gate). And secondly, I was really disappointed no one asked about future of CRJ200. Seems that plane will outlive everything. I’m sure he would have suggested that’s SkyWest, not Delta. It’s a Delta Connection and they claim it when it’s in their interest and disavow when it’s not.
