I have to say Delta is just crushing it for me as of late. My last flight I got the “Porsche” pickup gate to gate, all my flights were perfect, pre-order 1st class meal was correct and my bags came out in 18 minutes. What is not to love (well, other than SkyMiles)! But on to the week’s news:

Rene, happy to hear that they have been kind to at least one Diamond Million Miler. My run lately has been horrible. Non reclining last row seats, CRJ’s across from the restroom. I literally wrote my request for equal status on American and United last week. I have two more cross country trips with Delta but if I get a positive response I am gone. I have already been moving a lot to Southwest being on the West Coast. I do have to say I will miss the great service from the employees but that is about all I will miss.
Maybe I missed it, but Renes Points have any coverage about the collapse of Jet Airways? A couple times I flew on a Delta ticket from SFO to Mumbai, with Jet Airways flying the Amsterdam to Mumbai segment. I also enjoyed flying them domestically. The first class cabins were nicer than Delta’s and the food was great. Even economy got a nice meal for some flights under 500 miles. It was also nice to get SkyMiles credit for domestic flights. The low cost airlines like Indigo and SpiceJet seem to be winning out, and they are more comparable to (but not as bad as) Spirit and Frontier.
Do you know if the landing gear stowaway has posted a trip report yet?
@Mitch: Not yet. Last I heard, he’s still working on his review of riding a bus’s undercarriage.
