I like both of these and there are a few other days it could work for a few bucks more in December. My goal for 1st class runs is sub 8CPM and this one almost does just that! Also it is out and back (yes a red-eye but no need for a hotel). The coach one is MUCH cheaper and at 5CPM not bad (I like sub 4CPM).
Do keep in mind if you have not had the Delta Amex Reserve personal or business card you still have time to pick that up and get 10,000 MQMs for the non-waved $450 first year fee (plus you get into the Sky Clubs for a year free when you fly Delta)!
