Air travel is just getting weird. It seems everyone is breaking from the “norms”, whatever that is in 2018, and I am not optimistic about where Delta is going in 2019. For now, here are this week’s headlines I had to click on:
If you are at the Chicago Seminars today and see me please come up and say “hi” and let’s chat about all things Delta and points. Oh and if you had other news bits you clicked on, comment below and please do include a link to the story. – René

See you in a few hours. Lets talk cruises.
A comment about Hertz / SkyTeam alliance. I frequently rent a Hertz car when booking flights on Delta.com. The last time I did this (SEPT ’18) the price Delta.com quoted me was $332.00; the day or 2 before travel I received the typical Hertz email about my upcoming rental; the price from Hertz was $945.00. A quick call to Hertz and I was told to call Delta that the only record showed a $945 price and they were not interested in seeing my receipt from Delta. I’ve been renting cars on Delta.com for many years and Hertz has never tripled a rental price over a Delta quote. Hopefully this is not indicative of what is going to be the norm under the new Hertz / SkyTeam alliance.
