The KLM / Skyteam partner lounge operated by Menzies Aviation has just recently been refreshed and they have really done a good job. But first a new touch since I was last in GOT or Gothenburg’s Landvetter airport is they have added KLM for the fast track security. Nice upgrade just be sure you go to the fast track security point at the bottom of the escalator or they will make you walk back down (yeah, I did that).
The club is back to back to the SAS Star Alliance lounge and you can enter free with a business class ticket as well as a Priority Pass you may have from either the personal or business non-Delta AMEX Platinum cards.
I have never found this lounge to be very crowded and wifi performance is respectable.
Across from check-in was mostly Swedish, Dutch and French papers.
The club in some way feels smaller after the refresh but I was told it is not. They have really embraced the open plan concept.
The really big improvement, that was desperately needed, was the addition of tons of power outlets everywhere. What I was less impressed with was the tiny back bar stools for laptop work. I would move to the other side for a real chair at table level (or the couch seating).
Also very strange was the almost child sized seating in the center of the lounge just past check-in.
Drinks have been consolidated from a cooler with singles to fountain “everything”. From wine to beer to sodas all are now on tap. In back you will find a few stronger choices and to the far left coffee choices from the “Presto!” machine in hot pink (interesting).
Our visit was during breakfast time but the choices really do not change too much during the day other than better lunch type sides replacing the yogurt selections.
While not a smorgasbord the quality of what is provided has been constantly good each time I have visited and this time was no different.
One of the best parts about this lounge is the expanse of glass and for those of us who love to watch jets land and take off this is a great place to do just that!
So how was my lounge visit? I gave it a “smiley face” and by all means this is a nice place to wait for your flight! – René

Pretty similar to Stockholm, which is also a Menzies lounge.
Who gets FastTrak in GOT now? Also, I like your review on the lounge, while small it is relaxing and quiet. I was there in April of this year, seems it hasn’t changed much. I just wish they had some Swedish Pancakes for breakfast lol!
I fly mostly to Gothenburg from the US since I have family there, so nice to see your blogs on GOT.
@Jonathan B – Just about any airline biz class (I think but at least Skyteam is included). Yes, Swedish pancakes are amazing!
