Time for some mileage run posts today (as I recover from a cold – yeah feel sorry for me). I often get request for cheap weekend runs and this one could really work as anyone who is an elite has a chance to upgrade to Delta One full flat seats (but standard 1st class domestic service) both out and back via SEA! Redeyes are less bad if you are able to sleep (if you get the upgrade that is).
I have a number of other NYC based runs on the way today so stay tuned if you do not like this one.
Anyway here are the numbers:
Cost: $298
6,750 MQMs at 4.4CPM
Bookable via Google flights HERE
I have included the Google Flights or Kayak links and for those of you new to this, 1st log in to your Delta.com SkyMiles account and THEN you click the above links and it will, after you choose flights, send them over to Delta.com. Very simple! – René

Thanks Rene’! I need to get back in the groove and re-qualify for at least Platinum.
FYI, I was able to take your Google Flights link and tack on an Atlanta segment with some extra stopovers for a couple hundred more dollars and a total of 7740 MQM according to the unofficial SkyMiles calculator
https://www.google.com/flights/?f=0#search;iti=ATL_JFK_2016-11-12*JFK_SEA_2016-11-12*SEA_JFK_2016-11-13*JFK_ATL_2016-11-13;tt=m;sel=ATLBOS0DL104-BOSJFK0DL733,JFKSEA0DL428,SEAMSP0DL2440-MSPJFK0DL2032,JFKBOS0DL4013-BOSATL0DL1217
Booked! Thanks!
Thanks Rene! I thought the transcon Delta 1 routes were not upgradeable except via GUC? Delta.dumb seems to indicate the JFK-SEA and back legs are not upgradeable. FYI I’m DM so does the “unofficial exemption” appy here for a regular upgrade chance? Again, thanks for all your great info!
@Howard – Only JFK-LAX-SFO are considered D1 routes and require RU certs (or GU).
