Great news sign-up for Delta Diamonds for FREE CLEAR biometic membership has begun. For some, this link will take you to the page to sign up:
For others, like me, it was not working. According to CLEAR customer service you can call for help in this case and use the CLEARME.com sign-up page to get it started. Then, you will come this page:
At this point you need to fill in all your info and then call customer service to complete the rest:
- Call 855-253-2763
- Press 3 when prompted
- They will ask if you have ever been a member
- They will give you a 2 month promo code
- They will lastly manually upgrade your membership
It really is that simple and took me only a few minutes to get this done. The final screen showed:
Now I am not done. Once registered to complete enrollment I need to bring one state approved ID to the enrollment center. I will need a valid, un-amended US passport or passport card, US-issued Permanent Resident Card, a valid US driver’s license, state-issued photo ID card, or a military ID. Once my identity is verified, they will scan my finger prints and get a picture of my iris. This process takes about 5-7 minutes and can be done before a flight.
Sweet! I also have word that this coming weekend CLEAR will announce many new airports that will have CLEAR on the way and my guess is that will mean many Delta hubs!
This really is a great new free perk for top Delta elites. I do not have the price for Platinums (feel free to report here on the blog) but I can confirm Golds get it for $79. If you are a Diamond, it is better for you to use the family price add-on of just $50. – René

I just called Clear and was informed that they “have made no formal announcement about their partnership with delta which is why the link is not available yet. It will be announced in the next week at which time the link will work.”
Looks like calling(at least for me) won’t work.
@Quinn – Not was CS reps told me this AM. I have a feeling (just a guess) that Delta called them and yelled at them to wait.
Calling did not work for me either. The CS agent told me to wait until next week.
I used the Clearme Chat and she did say it was not yet active, but could provide a two month code. I understand that they are not yet production ready so I told them I will wait. Working in IT for the last 16+ years, I can understand that they are looking to get it up publicly first, so will wait. I would say at this point if the site is not yet functioning, I would say its not ready to be called “open”
The only “Coming Soon” location they show in their website is Seattle. Their footprint is to small for me to get excited. I will keep using TSA Pre for now.
I have clear membership. Will I be able to use the clear lanes at Atlanta airport?
@Margitaram – Once open yes.
I just called and the rep said Delta had not “made it official yet”, but she gave me a code for the two month trial as Rene mentioned. She stated Delta would be e-mailing an update in the next week or two, but she was not able to give me a long term membership at that time.
I finalized CLEAR May 30th. Funny that some don’t say the agreement with Delta is final as the press release is on the clear website. Allow a good 10 minutes to complete the process as occasionally prints have to be scanned a couple times. I’ll know Sunday how much time it saves me. It doesn’t replace precheck, it just bypasses the precheck line. 🙂
easy peazie!! This couldn’t be easy. Do exactly what Rene says, you will get a code and you are done. You will need a CC but won’t be charged
How much time do you have between enrolling online and actually visiting an enrollment center for the iris scan? I have a DFW trip in October – should I wait to enroll until then? Is the NEXUS iris scan acceptable by CLEAR, or is that just for the Canadians? Thanks.
@Glenn – I would give it a few days before you go for final to get email confirmation. No idea on Nexus
