I get that most of RenésPoints readers are Delta flyers. However, a great many of you are also equal opportunity points enthusiasts and collectors. That means you may have hundreds of thousands of AA points sitting in your accounts (I know I do).
Now American Air is a respectable award program. You see, unlike Delta, AA tells you in advance when they are going to devalue the program. And get this, they allow you to book at the current lower price and you can even fly at that lower price after the 22 of March 2016.
I know shocking right, for us Delta flyers where the airline hides the award charts, makes changes like the ones on the way in June, October and November this year and told no one until we found them and made them effective immediately so we had ZERO time to book at the lower rates.
So American is better in this respect. But they can, at times, charge almost as many crazy points for award tickets as Delta – unless you know how to find better values. Now don’t ask me about AA, not my area of expertise, but I do have:
Adam and his team! So I urge you to reach out NOW. To book NOW. To consider where you may want to go this year or into early next year. I myself am looking at Australia. I have never been. I had a 160k Delta business class RT award on Korean out and Virgin back but had to cancel so it is time to look at just what I can book with AA partners. Again, Adam will help me find the perfect flights at the lowest point price!
Now even though Delta does change award pricing and not tell us, that does not stop you from booking flights that depart before the increases take effect so again Adam can help you with those if you cannot find them on your own or with help from the tips in the Essentials Tab here on the blog (I don’t do award booking myself). – René

I click on the Juicy Miles link only to see a huge Rene Points pop up which had no X to remove it from the screen. I hate unnecessary pop ups. I didn’t go to Juicy Miles to see some Rene Points thank you note. Come on Rene! So much for Juicy Miles.

Just got rid of 85k in AA miles. Thanks for the heads up.
