Delta promised us that starting yesterday Rollover MQMs from 2015 would begin to post to our accounts and a few scattered readers confirmed this.
Today there seems to be a new flood of folks getting theirs and I have as well. As you can see, in just a few days, when my latest AMEX spend catches up with Delta I will be Diamond Medallion until 1FEB2018. If you are curious, Delta seems to sweep data from Delta AMEX spend every 3 or 4 days (at least that is the track record this year).
Are you a few bucks short of your Delta AMEX card spend totals? My fellow BA blogger Grant has a nice post up where you can follow and get $1500 in spend done and when you consider the value of a SkyMile being at a minimum 1 cent each you are coming out ahead buying them and even just spending them (and knocking out $1500 of spend along the way).
Also, think about starting at EBATES before you shop at GiftCardMall as they are paying 1% back on the purchases as well making the deal even sweeter.
Now the real question is what will happen to MQMs after this medallion year? We are still waiting for news of what the next “enhancement” will be to the program and I have a sinking feeling we will not have to wait too much longer to find out.

When do you think this year’s medallion packs will start shipping? I’ve applied for a status match with Turkish and they want a photo of the physical card.
@James – I hope faster than last year. It took FOREVER for the last ones to ship out for some of us. If we get them by 1APRIL I would be thrilled!
Oh dear. I have a *A flight booked for 12 Feb and need to take an extra bag, which would be free if my status match is granted by then. Hopefully Turkish will accept a screenshot from delta.com
@James – Yeah sorry no way you will get it by then. How about a screen shot from FLY DELTA APP?
I’ve sent that + a screenshot of last year’s account statement. I’ve explained that there’s little chance of getting my card in time. Keep your fingers crossed for me that they’ll accept that!
@rene can you explain why you race to minimum spend so quickly? You have a whole year to get it done.
@ED – Oh sure simple, because I am a blogger and want to do it. Also to show how it can be done in a short time period if you choose to do so. Plus, for me personally, am all out of RU certs and I want more considering FCM this year. I will get more after 1FEB when the new medallion year starts this way (my 2017 Platinum Choice Benefit). Plus I may choose my DM choice as well and thus gift my wife Gold until 1FEB18 this way. 😉
Rene, I am going for RU as my Platinum Choice Benefit like last year. But, if I read it correctly, I need to choose it before the end of January. Is that correct? Thanks.

Rene, I reached FO this year. After 2 months I emailed DL asking where my card was. I got this.
Effective November 14, 2013, Delta discontinued mailing SkyMiles cards
to new members and replacement General Member cards.
