If you happen visit the Delta E, or F, Sky Clubs you find the improved food choices over the standard Sky Clubs snack choices. Additionally, sometimes, you will see “hot”-ish BBQ chicken as well as cold chicken salad on the buffet. You will also notice bread, cheese and a number of other goodies for you to enjoy.
So the parts you need are the things you see above to “assemble” lunch at the ATL Sky Club. In other words you will have to gather together:
- 1 plate of bread (2)
- 1 plate of BBQ chicken (mine was cold in warmer)
- 1 plate of cold-ish chicken salad
- 2 “fake” cheddar cheese (it’s real-ish)
- 1 plate salad with dried raisins
- 1 set tools to make a sandwich (plastic utensils)
- 1 glass house Malbec wine (or non #SkunkyGate beer)
Then, with the above ingredients, you can begin to make what really is a decent lunch sandwich. It would be better with sides of fries or chips but at least there some chip-like bits for you to enjoy should you wish it.
Once you have cut the bread and stacked the ingredients you will end up with a most pleasant “Delta Sky Club” BBQ chicken and cheddar sandwich (with salad & dried cranberries). You can add, if available, some other dressings to create even more flavor but I wanted to focus on the BBQ flavor. For a quick lunch bite, it was quite good.
The next good choice is a chicken salad sandwich with the same “accoutrements” (say with French accent) to add texture and flavor. Most members really appreciate the Delta chicken salad and this makes it just that much better!
Lastly, to top these two off, we have a number of rotating soup choices in the clubs. For me, a soup and sandwich combo hits the spot for a quick lunch or light dinner choice along with a decent glass of wine that is now complimentary in the Sky Clubs. Enjoy! – René

Now this is some great info Rene! Will try this next week along with some “chip like bits!”
That’s Tillamook cheese…a legend and a treasure in the Pacific Northwest, Sir!
