I just had to pop up a quick post on this as so many readers are asking about it and no you are not the only one who got some kind of strange short term upgrade to your Sky Club membership to Executive level for a month or two (or maybe more).
This seems to be affecting a number of folks who either:
- Have free Diamond club access
- Have legacy NWA club access
- Have purchased status pre 2015
And possibly a few other unique situations. I have called and asked a number of Delta reps about this and all just say it is due to some kind of Delta IT glitch with the change over to the medallion year starting on 1FEB from this point on in 2016.
Hopefully this is a one time issue and we will not have to address this bug next year as well. For now enjoy the perk of a free upgrade to Executive membership for the time period your account reflects and be sure to invite one or two guests into the Sky Club with you each time you fly! – René
