As a follow-up to René’s recent Mileage Run post: Salt Lake to Fort Lauderdale $334 & 5664MQMs at 5.9CPM 2015 weekend Delta Elite Mileage Run, I am adding my own flair to it by giving you Delta Medallions a chance (rare each day it seems…) to ride up front in Business/First Class on this Mileage Run from Salt Lake City to Fort Lauderdale via Detroit on both directions.
If you are like many I hear from you are a ‘hub captive’ and now at year’s end you just need some MQM’s (Medallion Qualification Miles)! And you’re tired from having to scramble and search. Okay, book this route now! Sit up front and enjoy meals, comfort and the peace knowing that you are getting 7,828 MQM’s while doing it!
So, I could only find one day that works; Monday, December 21st. You depart shortly after midnight (that is early Monday morning) and fly to Detroit where you will have approximately a two-hour layover. Enjoy one of the many SkyClubs at the DTW facility. Then catch your next flight taking you to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where you will arrive around noon, giving you the opportunity to relax and visit the Fort Lauderdale SkyClub (located in Terminal 2.)
Around 2pm you are headed back for home. A tight connection of 34 minutes awaits you in Detroit and then you are scheduled to arrive back in Salt Lake City by 7:30pm where you can still have time for dinner and tell all your family and friends of your wonderful First Class (or Business) Mileage Run!
The Details:
MQM’s: 7828 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQM’s)
Ticket Price: $659
Cost: 8.4 Cents Per Mile (CPM)
Bookable on Delta.com
(Monday, December 21st, 2015) – DIRECT BOOKING LINK
A total of four segments, here is your routing: SLC-DTW-FLL-DTW-SLC Same-Day December 21, 2015
Please LOGIN first you your Delta.com account before clicking any links. Then, once you are signed into your Delta.com account then click on the desired link (Shown Below) and then choose your flights by pressing SELECT on the flights displayed that match the Mileage Run I have posted. You will then be taken directly into a Delta window where you can see the flights, the miles, and the cost. From there you can also choose “Pay With Miles” (if you have a Delta co-branded American Express card) and Purchase the ticket!
I will continue to search for you…but you need to make a commitment to do something before time runs out! It probably will just get uglier from here on out until December 31st. -Enjoy your travels! – John @laptoptravel
