I’m beginning to hate Delta for this. I purchased full fare, first class tickets in July for a trip in February 2016. These are full revenue tickets.
While I am pleased to have actually received an email notifying me of the change there was NO change in equipment but a change to the departure time by 45 minutes. That’s not a problem.
What IS a problem is that Delta moved us from our four first class seats in Row 3 to Row 6. By the bathroom and galley. I know I purchased these seats before anyone else because no one else had purchased seats in first class when I bought them.
So why we got seat bumped is a total (and unacceptable) mystery.
I know airlines state they don’t guaranty seats, but come on, this is insane. It’s like buying a black Mercedes but having someone else come in and take the black from me and forcing me to take red. Yes, it’s still a Mercedes, but it’s not what I paid for.
I would have more understanding of this if I were on FF miles, but I’m not. (And no, I’m not a medallion, but full revenue is full revenue.)
Yes, this is a first world (and first class) problem, but it’s total junk in my view.
