Earlier today I reviewed my latest most successful winter Ski trip to Utah and how, after all was said and done, I actually ended up earning for the trip. Before my departure home I had some time to visit the SLC Skyclub located just to the left when you walk through security T2.
One nice thing I really like is that there is an XpressSpa right outside the door of the club. I mean you can put your name on the list, go in for a refreshment, then pop back out when it is your turn.
The club is really nice sized. When we were there early in the morning it was relatively empty, but that did not last.
If that is the case be sure to look at all the spots you can find room including behind the help desk.
One small drawback of this club is I find the amount of power ports somewhat limited. I have commented to the staff about this several times over the years of visiting but nothing has improved in that regard compared to other Skyclubs.
There is a “luxury bar” here should you want to over pay for drinks vs drink the normal poor quality house drinks.
The coffee machine looked like it will crank out a good cup for most folks (not a coffee drinker).
The “new” normal breakfast fare was out for our early AM visit. I do like the fact that the bagels are not mini sized as they were in the past. Still not worth $29 a visit, but for free, a nice upgrade.
If you do need power I would recommend this table area near the bar that does have ample outlets to plug in.
Lastly there was a shoe shine man working in this club and I think it was the first time I have seen that perk since the test phase back in April last year (gosh I miss some of those amazing perks that would make the value of the Skyclub membership actually worthwhile). Bottom line, this is a nice Skyclub, but can at peak times become very crowded and loud. – René

SLC skyclub looks ok but is almost always crowded and pretty lame overall. Used to got the once a month for 2-3 years but finally gave up. I’d rather sit at the gate.
AND my wife and I were hassled by a security guy 2 years ago when they thought we snuck in. We paid for 2 $50 passes at the front desk. This was a SUPER LAME move by them. $100 for hassle and crappy snacks. I’m out on Delta Skyclub and happier now at SLC airport.
