From the files of WoW that is a long time in coach, the price on this one can not be beat (with a HT of FT for find).

I would tinker with route and pick as MANY legs as you can. Why? If you can possibly bump ANYWHERE along the way, you can just fly home and request route credit and not have to fly it all. I have done this many times in the past successfully. Also keep in mind to use a card like your Delta AMEX that does not charge an UP CHARGE for a foreign transaction fee in CAD.

Lastly maybe look at types of jets you will be one and maybe pick a few less points if you like the type of jet better for a coach seat or chance for upgrades on the domestic routes or over sells on the international ones. All stuff to think about. Here is what I found with scattered dates in other months:

Cost ~$500 in USD

18,043 MQMs at 2.8CPM

Bookable on Delta.com

Avios points are a good choice to get to YYZ if you do not live there or look at the good old FlexPerks points. Or, since the CPM is dang low, just buy a ticket as even if you pay say 5 or 6 CPM to position, you net CPM will be well under our target for 2015 of 4CPM.

Delta was full of FAIL on this one. I tried many different itineraries, some multiple times, and AFTER pressing the “PAY” button (on delta.com), it popped up the emergency contact window, I clicked OK, and then it popped up another message that “fare has changed to 800-something. I tried with and without using GCs. I tried all different itineraries. Finally, I chose a substandard itinerary (without any additional leg, just SEA-DTW-SEA) and clicked pay with no GC entered and it worked.

Of course now I see that getting to YYZ will be painfully expensive …. still trying. Award tix are 45k plus 64 bucks on Delta, so not worth it.
