Well this could start your year off right. I really want to stay under 8CPM for 2015 in 1st class but this really is a bunch of MQMs at at “just” under 9CPM I am posting this one. Plus you are full flat product much of the way and earning your status this way can be very nice. Does not look like you need a VISA but you do need to blank pages. Here are the numbers:
Cost $1198
13,316 MQMs at 9CPM
Bookable on Delta.com
Clearly routing via LGA in and out gets you MAX MQMs. You can look at DTW or direct to ATL if timing works better and you could stay a few days – I guess 😉
If you are willing to pay a bit more you can get it done this year that is 2014. Even paying higher amount is MUCH cheaper than BUYING MQMS for crying out loud!

I go to Peru several times a year. US Passport holders do not need visas. Special vaccinations are not needed to visit Lima, Cusco & Machu Picchu. It is recommended that visitors to the Tambopata Reserve & other low lying areas in the Amazon jungle get Yellow Fever vax. But it is not required. Here’s link to CDC webpage.

If one were to do this as a no stay run (get off at 0010 and get back on at 0140), would that amount of time be enough to get through customs and get back on the plane? Would you even need to go through customs if not leaving the airport?
I don’t think that I’d do this run, but it would be nice to know.
Id also like to know this as im considering it
