20 off OM gift cards

EDIT: Deal is good Saturday too! I got 24x$200 today and will try for same tomorrow! 🙂

Thanks to a great reader I have some amazingly good news. The Black Friday deal from last year is BACK, that is you can buy (limit 2 / per person it seems but YMMV depending on the folks in your local store) $300+ in Master Card Debit Gift cards and get $20 off.

200 om mc dgs

All you need to do is have one of the Ink cards that gives you 5x points at office supply stores to really clean up on this as you are basically getting the points, not just for free, but even making a little money as well for buying these cards!

XoIkS7dcrC

You can load these to BlueBird at WM but you have to call to set the pin (see back of cards). Worst case you can just spend them as the deal is so good why not!- René

is that limit 2 cards per customer or limit 2 of the $20 discounts per customer?

Nevermind, looking at the terms in the picture it says “limit 2 offers per household/business”

You use an acronym (OM) that you never define. Please spell out the intended reference and then reference it later with an an acronym. How is a person to know what you’re referring to?

This must be a regional deal because my OM didn’t have this promo. Just went and purchased 2×200 in MC GCs, and there was nothing in terms of $20 off. The cashier wasn’t aware of the promo either. Bummer. If I am missing something (offer code, etc), please, let me know. Would love to get in on this deal if possible!

I went and the 1st cashier wan’t sure about splitting a transaction to pay with separate cards. The 2nd said they can’t do it for gift cards. Anyone have other experiences? I’m go back tonight. Trying to combine ink bold with the amexs I have 10 off 50 sync offer.

Can one do a single $600 transaction for 2 discounts, or does it have to be separate transactions?

Speaking of the INK card, what is the best way to spend the INK points for maximum $$. Cashing out at $0.01 feels like I’m missing out on more to be had. Do you get MQM/RDMs if you use the points to book travel at a “discount” with the points? I’ve looked at booking some of their experiences with points, but those seem expensive compared to what I can obtain just spending real $$ on them. I guess booking delta flights is probably best as long as I get MQM/RDMs that way, and after that just cashing out at $0.01 if I have to.Thoughts?

@Jacob – You can spend on trips or transfer to other partners. See this post for spending 100% points on Delta http://deltapoints.boardingarea.com/2014/10/02/let-point-mind-rest-facts-paying-points-earning-points-delta/

The employees seem clueless about the promotion, so have a little patience and it will work fine. And, they have to split the transactions or the second $20 won’t come off and per the T&C, you get 2 x, so it shouldn’t be an issue. You can do $600 in one transaction and $400 in another and you’ll still come out ahead. Excellent post, Rene!!

My store didn’t know about it either and I couldn’t find anything prove it. Did anyone see what they scan or have other ideas?

    Thanks!

Has anyone tried to load these yet. I set the pin. Hit the cancel button at Walmart and the screen show’s approved and then the transactin is cancelled debit not available.

@Heather – There should be no reason to hit cancel. Just run them after you set pin.
