This is just so amazing on so many levels. Before you say have you lost your mind how is 10.9CPM amazing? Just look at why I say this. If you are a the level you are willing to “buy” MQMs when Delta puts them on sales soon for $2000 for 10k this is 2x that many MQMs for about the same price. Just say’in please never buy MQMs you can have much more fun on a vacation.
Speaking of that, look these flights. If you fly up to PDX 1st you get that nice LONG sleep full flat flight to Europe and can hit the “ground running” the first day since you had time to eat and sleep on the 10 hour flight to AMS.
Then, on the return, you get a nice long KLM 747 ride with the new full flat seats as well. I have said it many times in the past a mileage run in 1st class is SO much more fun. Oh, and you also get the better part of 4 days vacation in Spain. That is not all bad right? That and you get over 35,000 Skymiles back this year and if you had a AMEX Premier Rewards Gold card and paid with that and are a Diamond you would still get almost 30,000 back under Skymiles 2015! 😉
Lastly, this is good for a learning post if nothing else. Look at the ITA search and the multiday search at Delta.com. It can be good for us to check not just ITA but Delta too when we look because you never know what else might pop up that we did not see on ITA. Clear? Here is what I would pick:
Cost $2160
19,850 MQMs at 10.9CPM
Bookable on Delta.com
Now if you are willing to give up some of these “perfect” flights and route a little more crazy you can drop this sub 10CPM but I would rather have these sweet legs. This could also be perfect if you have some vouchers you need to burn up before year end! – René

it’s a business class mileage run, not a first class one. “first class” domestically in the US is like business in Europe so when talking about an international itinerary it’s misleading. The only skyteam carrier in Europe with first class is Air France
Overall a good value!
@Augias – We at Delta have 1st/BE only seats and DMR readers know when I post 1st we are talking Delta 1st/BE. We are not talking other airlines.
