Oh I really like this one a bunch and a big HT for the tweet from Avion Addiction for the heads up. There are many ways. You can do this an overnight stay or a redeye. You can do this after work Friday and not miss work. You can do this one back to back days and crush it with a positioning flight to IAH and do back-to-back runs. Plus it is cheap! Keep in mind SUB 4CPM for MQMs puts this in my book as a SOLID Skymiles2015 run! Here are the numbers:
Cost $196
5,205 MQMs at 3.7CPM
Bookable on Delta.com
DM yields a very nice 11,712 Skymiles per CWSI.net!
Getting $117 Skymiles rebate back, this year, makes this in my book a net cost $79 to get 5k MQMs! That, my friends, is an amazing value. If I were not booked (no overbooked) this year I would do this one 2 days back to back.
EDIT: As always, check both directions. You CAN work this FROM LAX to IAH too for almost the same price!
