In case you missed it, the normal summer activity of striking in Europe is moving on to fall this next week. If you have plans to fly Air France next week and especially on Monday you may want to rethink and change to Delta jets and you can do so free.
Delta.com tells us regarding the Air France Pilot Industrial Action:
“A pilot industrial action may impact travel on all Air France operated flights. Check flight status frequently for up-to-the-minute info about your flight plans, or get updates sent directly to your wireless device or email with Delta Messenger.
Rescheduling Flights – If your flight is canceled or significantly delayed, you are entitled to a refund. Even if your flight is not canceled, you may make a one-time change to your ticket without fee if you are scheduled to travel to, from, or through the following destination(s) on Delta, Delta Connection®, or Delta-coded flights during the specified time periods listed below.

When rescheduled travel occurs between September 9 and 14, 2014 or September 23 and 30, 2014, the change fee and fare difference will be waived if ticket is reissued on or before September 30, 2014.
When rescheduled travel occurs between October 1 and December 15, 2014, the original booking class must be available, otherwise a difference in fare will apply.
When rescheduled travel occurs beyond December 15, 2014, the change fee will be waived; however a difference in fare may apply.
If travel is not able to be rescheduled within these guidelines, customers may cancel their reservation and apply any unused value of the ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket for a period of one year from the original ticket issuance. Applicable change fee and fare difference will apply for new travel dates. Final travel must be completed by end of ticket validity.”
So, along with packing, you may want to call Delta and see just what other options are open to you or perhaps at least look at protecting yourself on other flights should you need them! – René
