Wow is all I can say with this one from FT. What a nice catch. Now, notice how many miles for the best CPM is including the non-upgradeable JFK-LAX both ways. If you look in SEPT (the best month EVER for runs) you can pick all routes that do give a lower yield but you can pick all upgrade legs. Your call if you want a shot at the big seats or just want max points. Here are the max point option:
Cost $274
7,306MQMs at 3.8CPM
Bookable on Delta.com
DM yields a sweet 16,440 Skymiles per CWSI.net!
Again, be sure to look at all routes that are best for you not just the best price.

This is probably a very silly question from a rookie but…. Is it likely that you would take the same exact plane out of Oakland that you would take into Oakland?
@RL – possible and DOES happen many times. check the flight number. often they are the same but not always. oh their are NO silly questions!

Thank you!
Thank you!
Rene – thanks for site and all of the great posts! I am trying to book the JFK to OAK run on 6/3, however it appears all of the (X) class seats are gone and from Delta’s site I could only schedule (x) for the outbound and (u) on the return. The run is the same, but the price shoots up to $428.
Another “cheaper” option was JFK, LAX, OAK and the same on the return (cutting out SLC) for $372, but only 5,950 MQM. I realize the first option of $428 is still cheaper per mile, but wanted to get your thoughts if it is still worth it and any chance to get the (X) class seats for $274??? Thanks again!

Renee: thanks for the post and i will do this on Sept 27 yielding almost 6100 MQM for GM. Taking the cheap bus up to NYC from DC so i can make the early AM flight. Hoping for a bump so I can use it to plan another run.
