While the 6.6% cash/points back deal is still alive and kickin’ (for now) if you have an Arrival card this can be a great way to lock in some huge points. If you don’t have a Barclay’s Arrival card, think about getting one so you are set next time the deal comes around.
The other very good deal is the 3% cash back (real cash not points) from TopCashBack. This is a very good option if you do not have an Arrival card and the larger bonus is set to end today. What will it drop to? My guess is 1% or 2% since other portals still have strong rebates. There is a chance it could stay at 3% under a new bonus period as well.
Lastly you still have some time to comment for a chance to win some nice travel SWAG from yesterday’s SWAG Saturday as I will pick the winner later tonight! – René

@Eric – I have been shorted or given NOTHING by BigCrumbs too many times when it comes to AMEX gift cards. Plus, Arrival at 4.4% much better!
Good to know. Never had a problem myself but I’ll keep an eye out. Less than Barclay’s for those who have it, but some may prefer cash anyway if they’ve got enough points for travel needs. Cheers!
@Bric – yes – but everyone I have ever talked to and seen have 100% full payout from TopCashBack. My one missed payment cost me hundreds! 🙁 from BigCrumbs. Never again!
I bought a few Amex gift cards by going through the Arrival mall and paying with that card as well. I saw the transactions show up as pending on my card (nothing in the mall), then I received the gift cards in the mail, and my Amex transaction no longer shows up on my account! Does this happen for anyone else? Do the transactions disappear from the pending list and not actually get charged for a while?
@Tom – takes up to two months.
Tom, that happened to me a few weeks ago. It looked like I wasn’t gonna get charged for the Amex gcs that I was getting. It was weird. Well, they did finally get charged for them on my PRG. I ordered them on 4/10. They are finally showing up in my Barclays Rewardsboost account showing 20,000 points (i ordered $5000), but the 20000 points has not credited my barclays account quite yet. I am sure that will come next.
