citi card 110k

One of the best deals going is the 100k Citi AA card (not my link at bottom of page). I have one, Lisa has one & just about anyone who has heard of the deal has one. After spending a hefty $10,000 you end up with 110,000 points and they credit you back $200 of the $450 first year fee so you are net buying the points for $250 or .0023 cents each. That is a VERY good price.

us air 40 offer

The other EQUALLY good deal right now is the US Air Mastercard that gives you 40,000 points after your first purchase and paying the non waived annual fee of $89. Thus, if you buy a 10 cent gum ball on the card let’s say, you are buying these points for just .0022 cents each or basically the same price per point as the Citi card deal.

Bottom line is this; for $339 in annual fees you are able to, after minimum spend requirements on the two cards, get 150,000 points that will all be American Airlines Advantage points very soon. That is really frequent flyer value! – Rene

➲ The US Airways® Premier World MasterCard®

  • Earn 40,000 bonus miles after your first purchase and payment of the $89 annual fee*
  • First checked bag free on eligible bags for you and up to four companions on domestic US Airways operated flights
  • One companion certificate good for up to 2 guests to travel with you on a US Airways operated flight at $99 each, plus taxes and fees
  • Priority boarding Zone 2 on US Airways operated flights
  • Redeem miles for award travel on US Airways and American Airlines booked through usairways.com or US Airways Reservations
  • Earn miles on every purchase with 2 miles for every $1 you spend on US Airways purchases and 1 mile for every $1 on purchases everywhere else
  • Please see terms and conditions for complete details

The Annual fee for this card is $89 per year.

What’s going on have you gone over to the otherside lol? Promoting AA/US on your site. I will use the US app but don’t do MS so the AA won’t work. Loyal only to the best prices from now on. I tried to hard to keep GM/PM over the last 15 yrs. Did maybe 1 MR a year but it was wasted money. Now I’m saving money. Which does work out pretty nice.

I’ve been watching travel blogs & flyertalk closely for about a year now, and still have no clue what all the acronyms Jim M is using mean.

Believe me this deal. It will last. Getting peopel to go for a 450.00 credit card has to have a strong promo. They are fighting AMEX plat and all the other premium cards. Not to mention the product is positioned against high credit/high income earners. Even if you do this deal try to burn the miles and book quickly. Give AA enough time and they will be making even more changes. I state this as a AA plat.

@Robertw – personally I am SHOCKED the offer is still going. I can see it moving to $450 with NO credit back but that makes it no were as good a deal as it is now.

@AI – Very soon you will be able to send AA to US or the other way. Just like you could years back when DL & NW merged. BTW, in case you missed it, they are now one company. If want to split straws on the timing of being able to send the points over that is up to you. This IS a great deal for both cards as the numbers clearly show!

Any speculation on when the miles between the two programs will combine?

@JD – I think they would like to do it ASAP but I know with DL/NW it took a little longer than expected. Once it is open, be careful and do SCREEN SHOTS BEFORE YOU SEND just in case. I would not be quick to send either way unless you need points for an award. Let others test the waters so to speak.

150,000 miles is incorrect. You will actually receive 150,001 miles, remember that the 10 cent gumball will earn 1 mile.

Not really the best AA deal right now for 100k points. Why not just get the Citi AA business and the Citi AA personal both with 50,000 miles after $3000 minimum spend and only and $89 annual fee each. That works out to 106,000 miles for $178. Less minimum spend, less cost, equals no-brainer.

is it bad to apply for two cards in two days? I applied and was approved for the US airways card yesterday and want to get the Starwood card ASAP. I have a very high credit score. How long should I wait?

@bluedevil – uh you can apply for as many cards as you want in one day (just mix up the banks). I normally do 3-6 cards when I apply. Thanks for using my US Air card link if you did 😉
