This first one I HT my fellow BA blogger PM&M for alerting us to this one that is targeted but at the moment most seem to be able to register HERE with their Skymiles number. They may fix the bug, if it is one, so register sooner than later and PRINT proof that you are registered.
Notice the T&C are a bit confusing (color added mine):
Offer: Eligible members must first enroll in the promotion by July 10, 2014 in order to participate. Flights booked prior to enrollment will not be eligible for this promotion. Flights must be booked and completed within the promotional period, which is through July 10, 2014. Enrolled members will earn 2,000 miles and Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) when they book and fly their first round-trip Delta or Delta Connection® marketed and operated flight. Members will then be eligible to earn double miles and MQMs on the first nonstop flight out of or into New York-LaGuardia (LGA) on any Delta or Delta Connection marketed and operated flights. Flights purchased with a published fare that earns full mileage accrual are eligible. Codeshare flights operated by carriers other than Delta are excluded from this offer. There is no limit to the bonus miles and MQMs that can be earned within the qualification period. Double bonus miles and MQMs will be awarded on base miles only and will not be awarded for mileage bonuses, including Medallion mileage bonus, or other class of service mileage or MQM bonuses.
So it seems to say, register, book & fly something other than an LGA round trip first. Then fly an LGA round trip and get 2x on your LGA non-stop flight? So after trip one, I will fly trip two to position to somewhere very far away and fly trip three direct to LGA and back and cash in. Then fly home. Is that the way you are seeing it also readers? (why make it so hard Delta?) Also it MUST be Delta metal not a partner.
The next one is targeted but you can very quickly Login and see if you are eligible HERE with just your FlexPerks number and the last 4 numbers of your FlexPerks either Personal card or as it was in my case my Business card to see if I was eligible.
Each FlexPerks point is worth MAX 2 cents each but what I have found is most tickets I grab tend to be $350-400 range so bank on 1.8-ish cents each. Here is how I am going to play this one. Notice it is not good for purchase UNTIL 1MAY so register NOW but don’t start shopping until after May 1st. Then I will go to my local grocery store to get 2x points. I will buy 3 x $500 Visa Debit Gift Cards to load to my BlueBird. Cost will be $17.85 for the 3 x $5.95 fee to buy the gift cards. I will gain, 3,036 FlexPoints for that purchase and 3,500 for the promo or 6,536 total worth MAX $130 less the fees is $110 in free travel money!

Not eligible. Must be targeted, dang, that would have been useful to me.
I got a rock for the LGA one.
Also not eligible. Guess they “fixed” it already. Bummer…
I’m never eligible for any promos, but this one would have been nice. Oh well.
Either way, Delta’s flights on my business routes out of LGA are starting to be way higher cost than US Air, so I can no longer justify the added cost to my company.
I was somehow able to register this morning. Whether Delta honors it is anyone’s guess.
So as a second trip do LGA-ANC/HNL-LGA?:)
FWIW, I just checked “My Promotions” page on delta.com. No record of being “registered’. Oh well.
@Geoff – mine to but if I try to re-register it says: YOU ARE ALREADY ENROLLED IN THIS PROMOTION so hope it will update. Not buying until it shows up in My Promotions however.
That’s the response I see too(thank for the heads up). But, like you, I’ll book when I see it hit my registered Promos.
ROCK!
Darn….
You are not eligible to participate in this promotion. Please check out our other great offers on the My Promotions page
I am going RT to Sun/Tue and then back there on my way to YUL on Wed. and then again on May 15th… 8000 MQMs would have been nice.
Not eligible for delta.
no mention of spending bonus on flexperks.
booooooo
I suspect that only certain individuals were targeted but they accidentally had the promo up under “eligible” promos for about 24 hours. My wife did not get an e-mail but was able to register, although the promo stayed under “eligible” promos. Now it has been removed entirely.
I did receive the e-mail and when I registered it immediately moved over to the “registered” promos section as it should. I think this was just a Delta IT glitch.
I saved a screen shot of the confirmation screen for my wife, so will be interesting if they honor this.
No go on Delta.
Flexperks 3500 point bonus was available to me but with a significantly higher $4000 spend requirement!
@Michael – so 8 x $500 Visa Gift cards and done.
No love for this ATL based PM. Worth a try. Appreciate you letting all of us know.
I got this target offer direct from DL. I was Platinum last year; down to Gold this year; and no recent activity or upcoming flights. Delta lost me with all the program changes and it seems this is their way of attempting to re-engage me. We’ll see if it works…
my wife just got flex perks offer to get 5,000 w/ $500 in spending… Didn’t even know this account was still open! That it was closed 6 years ago!
Nice catch Rene, I would be all over this! But I do not see this under current promotions, so… rock!
What debit cards do you buy to load to Bluebird?
Time to find something to replace Vanilla reloads….
@Vicente – Any kind of Visa DEBIT gift card (with PIN feature) works fine and Walmart.
Rene,
You received a very generous offer from Flex Perks if you are only required to spend $1500 for the 3.5K bonus.
Perhaps there was a Swedish math error. I have heard that Norway was on the short list to be the birthplace of Jesus, but there was a shortage of Wise Men to the East. May 17, 2014 is the 200th Anniversary of Norway’s Independence!
Norse Man
1.8 million miles and I’m not eligible. Really? I hope delta isn’t even nominated for a Freddie next year. Maybe, just maybe, that will get their attention! Because their frequent flyers certainly aren’t getting it.
Delta would not permit me to register
