This one is supposed to be targeted toward Seattle Hertz people, but it seems no matter where you live in the USA you can get this (what a shockingly nice refreshing change btw).
As you can see, once you become a new member they tell you that you will receive the 1000 bonus points for joining.
And if we go to the brand new account we also see that the points have indeed credited instantly.
This is nowhere near as good at the potential 40,000 point promotions Delta has had in past years (none of them work anymore btw) but this is at least something for joining for the first time. However, if you combo this with the Delta AMEX Platinum with all it’s “Silver Medallion-ISH” perks you are on your way as a Delta flyer! – René

Can you please post the link?
@iwantmoremiles – NO (I am mean that way) – thank you so much for pointing that out! DUH bone head move of the week/month/year – sorry! Fixed and updated in post. 😉
Actually, there has been a 1K new-member signup offer around for years. I remember it first being promoted at the Delta Sky360 lounge experience on West 57th Street in Midtown Manhattan that opened in November, 2007. Boy, that was fun! I got a ton of great swag back then. Anyway, the link from 2007 STILL works today:
