This week we get a guest post and SWAG from a reader you already know about from before from his post here on DeltaPoints in January. Take it away: LARS-ERIK OLSON
I was at the New York Times Travel Show recently and — since the offer would be expiring at the end of the month and the show was almost over — the ladies working the Visit Florida booth encouraged me to take several additional free photobook promo cards to give to my friends. Most of the people I know that love to travel also love to take photographs of their trip, so I thought I’d share these with my fellow Delta Points readers. We all know that René LOVES to give out SWAG, right?!? Well, these books are great! I’ve made quite a few of them previously, e.g., for a trips to Brazil for Carnaval, Chicago, and most recently my combo trip/mileage run to Hawaii.
FREE 8×8 PHOTO BOOK ($29.99 Value) from Shutterfly.
— 20 pages (any add’tl pages would incur a per-page fee)
— Hard photo image cover
— You get to design/layout the pages yourself 🙂
— Only pay for tax, shipping & handling
— Offer valid ONLY UNTIL MARCH 31
Winners will receive an email from Rene with the code plus full instructions on how to use it.
Thanks LARS-ERIK OLSON for being a part of the blog (you will see more posts from Lars-Erik now and then btw). So for a chance to win one of these 8 PhotoBooks all you have to do is comment below. Say anything on your mind about Delta or about the blog or about travel – you pick and I will use Random.org to pick 8 winners tomorrow. Also, I will be including a DeltaPoints luggage tag too! The “normal” SWAG Saturday will be back next week! – René

My delta amex just paid off with the companion cert. Two of us flying to south Florida for $250 bucks, I’ll keep the card for that
Just came back from a trip to San Francisco booked entirely with points – would love to make a Shutterfly album with my pics!
How fun! Thank you. Love the blog.
So
I am really trying to up my status to PM
For 2015
I fear it may be my golden opportunity. That won’t happen again for a long time
I have accrued 800,000 miles towards million
With deltas new painful policy
They have forgotten about the ppl who made them who they are now
They have gone to the
Dark Side
I wanna love Delta…but they don’t seem to value my loyalty or business.
Looking forward to my 3 LAX-SEA-ANC-SEA-LAX MRs in June. Might as well rack up the miles while I can. Taking advantage of the Double MQM/RDM promotion offered on select Seattle routes booked by December 31.
I love to make picture books and give them out at Christmas to my family.
I love chasing miles and entering contests!!! Thanks for helping me do both!!!
Would love to make a book from our Ice Hotel trip this last December!! I am still waiting for my e-mail from Delta asking me about 2015. As people are finding out from the other airlines “Delta Still Rules.” We made it through the good and bad. It cycles and so shall this.
I am off to Costa Rica on a spring break mission trip…working to better the lives of some needy people. It would be fun to turn some pics into a book.
The new mileage run site is awesome!! Thanks so much.
Still have to get the delta card companion certificate. Wish we could use it internationally.
I enjoy reading Delta Points each morning while I down a cup of coffee. I am not happy about the recent changes in the Delta Loyalty program; however, I will continue to read Delta Points each day.
Love all the advice on the blog, but it seems to be harder to find good things going on at Delta!
The blog is great way to keep up to date with all the latest changes, good and bad. It is very helpful.
Have had good luck for 2 years using the free companion pass from the amx plat. Got $600 value from it last year. Hope the skymiles change backfires.
Renee – Thanks for wonderful blog!
Rene, thanks for all you do, especially for those of us that are not exceptionally savvy to how it all works.
I am hopeful the new Skymiles scheme will enable better availability of award seats.
I like to do one of these books or the free collage from Walgreen’s when they come up to remember each trip.
DEfinitely useful for all the cell phone pictures
I would love a code! Sorry clicked too fast, but I meant to add that I’m worried about whether Delta will change the rules on its round the world award fares.
Being a Delta hub addict, I absolutely love the passion and dedication of your blog Rene. The code for photobook will be so helpful for our recent trip to Aruba we took as a family. And oh, so loving the deltamileagerun blog you started, so awesome!
Swag Saturday rocks.
Keep the tips coming on the blog. The photo books are great gifts for the grandparents to share our trips.
This would be great for all the trips to spend down my Skymiles balance.
Shutterfly photo books are great. I’ve used them several times. As for Delta, we’re using American for our three trips to the Caribbean this year from PHX (instead of Delta). Just got back from our week in Aruba, and we thought the AA flights in First were much more comfortable than Delta’s, and the food was better too.
Just returned from a spectacular trip to Lima and Machu Picchu. Would love this Shutterfly for all my pics.
About the blog!
Can’t wait to get my surveys so I can tell Delta exactly what I think of all their enhancements. Great blog Rene, I like the MR blog too, I’ll definately do a couple this year while they are still worthwhile.
Rene, Thank you for the advice recently with Citi AA and international ATM’s – you rock! Susan
Shutterfly works better than Delta !
Really wondering who to switch to with Delta 2015!
Everyone loves a little free stuff, especially when I can fill it with pictures of my kid.
Love the Mileage run website! I never considered mileage runs before but the site does all the work and makes it so easy to see the value of these opportunities.
Would love to make a photo book of our trip to Japan!
Wondering what the availability will be like with the new Delta award chart!
Looking forward to some rewarding mileage runs in 2014 before the 2015 FF miles earnings are lowered. So far it appears using miles in 2015 at low(er) levels will be good, but we shall see!
Prepping for my upcoming trip to many points in the Western US. All flights on points and hopefully at least 7 nights on points. Thanks for running the blog!
I’m waiting on this survey you speak of. !!!
I hope to use up the rest of my skymiles soon, on another fun trip.
Love delta skymiles and photos, thanks!
Love these books, need one for a getaway with my little 3yr old little guy. Thanks
Met my 2014 plan for DM and enough points for award tickets for 3 international flights. But, 2014 will be the year to remember as next year it’s back to GM if I’m lucky.
Thank you
So you’re saying all my photos in the world don’t have to be on laptops and hard drives and memory sticks?
Thanks for the opportunity!
I am just about to finish a trip and I would love to make an album using a shutterfly code.
Wow open mic day. I wonder why delta thinks dumping on 96% of its customers will somehow cause the other 4% to give it more money.
I occasionally find great Delta fares from CLT to ANC.
Just came back from Belgium – Brussels, Bruges, Ghent – and would love to make a quick book.
Hate skymiles 2015!
We make Shutterfly travel books after all our trips. They are an easy and quick way to share our trips with family and friends who don’t want to spend a couple of hours with us going through all the pictures my husband takes. We have fun deciding which pictures to include.
Getting ready to take Delta to Amsterdam. Not looking forward to the Delta part. A gift at the other end would be great.
Looking forward to a trip to Naples, FL on an award ticket with delta. Praying for warm, dry weather because I need me some sunshine!
Thanks for the option!!
Love the blog!
I’m in.
