Ah spring. Flowers, birds singing & warm weather – douh! Or more blizzards, Ice and Snow – ugg! As you can see, before you head to the airport today check your flights as they may be canceled. Delta has for today 1MARCH and tomorrow 2MARCH offered free changes in the following states:
- Illinois
- Indiana
- Iowa
- Kansas
- Kentucky
- Missouri
- Nebraska
- Ohio
Looking at the radar as of 6AM ET it does not look all that bad but there may be proactive cancels by the airline so you may not have a jet to fly on. Please check.
And then this big mess departs and moves up to the Northeast so already for the 3&4MARCH you can change free in these states:
- Connecticut
- District of Columbia
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- New Jersey
- New York
- Pennsylvania
- Rhode island
- Virginia

Love the weather bulletins. Just cancelled a MR I didn’t want to take in 2 days thanks to the change. Just a reminder to those using the weather waivers to make a change, if you get resistance from the phone reps and they say they’ll only make the change rather than refund/credit your account, hang up and call again to get a different rep.
Thanks for the heads up! I hadn’t even paid attention to the weather. I was able to change my cheap afternoon flight to the morning flight getting me to the Caribbean 5 hours earlier in the day!!! The early flight was $450 more expensive (which was why I didn’t buy it) but now I got it for free! Score!
